I don't know what their marketers were thinking, but McDonald's needs to work on their specials.

In the last few months some of the specials have been:

Corn Pie: (Served in the same pie crust that Westerners get when they order an apple pie in North America). Hong Kong has a corn fetish. I haven't figured out why, but when I do, you'll be the first to know.

Curry Potato Pie: Curried potato is a real dish, and is quite good. But inside a sugary crust? Ahhhh... no.

McPepper Burger: Chopped up red bell peppers in sauce atop McDonald's mystery meat.

Fuku Instant Noodles: A Japanese import, with an insult thrown in!

Pocari Sweat: A popular Japanese drink, like unsweetened Gatorade. I balk at drinking anything labelled as sweat. Ugh.

Canadian Pizza: Pizza Hut's so-called Canadian Pizza consists of the following toppings:

· Bacon (so far so good)

· Pepperoni (I can live with that)

· Corn (???)

· Thousand Island Sauce (Huh????)

Since when does Thousand Island Sauce represent Canada? I think I'll stick with the Supreme.
