About BWG Personals

Over the years, I've received e-mail from new Hong Kong residents wanting to know how they could meet people.

I'd try to point them in the right direction, but I wasn't sure my suggestions would help. Some suggested I create a forum, but it wouldn't suit the site and I didn't want the administration headache — forums often attract the wrong people.

BWG Personals was the perfect solution; it's a joint-venture with a company based in Hong Kong and Tokyo which operates online communities in Asia, centering on the themes of Language Exchange, Language Learning and Friend Finding. The service isn't exclusive to Asians, however: anyone can join to meet people far and wide, or in their own city.

Registration with BWG Personals is free. In moments, you can meet new friends selected from the huge database based on your preferences — whether you want a pen pal, someone to tutor or teach, a language teacher, travel companion, or even someone to date.

Though I provide access to the service, I'm not involved with administration or maintenance of the database; your information is confidential.
