Nothing is sacred in Hong Kong; if it can be duplicated, copied or mimicked, it will be.

Thus it came as no surprise when a salon called Hair Masters used as its logo red letters that call to mind the logo of the clothing store H&M. Sure, the salon's logo has no ampersand, while the letters are offset and joined so as not to be a blatant trademark violation.

But you just know someone was sitting around one day and decided the best way to attract attention would be to make people think, even for a fraction of a second, that H&M had an outlet in a dinky little New Territories mall. Anything that has a modicum of popularity will be bastardised in a bid to gain attention.

That's why you can find 'Swiss Navy' watches on the streets of Mong Kok.
