Shoe Shine Celebration

A bit of good news in time for Christmas: the shoe shiners in Central's Theatre Lane have received their licences and can now work without being hassled by various government departments.

No more quarrels; no more fines.

As one shiner summed up:

I waited for the licence for more than 10 years. Nothing is more important than my licence. Now I don't have to worry about being arrested. The licence is meaningful and lets me serve the public. I will keep polishing shoes until the day I can no longer do so.

So head down to Central and let these fine folks give your shoes a good polish.
