Knife Wounds Don't Buff Out
If anyone could be said to follow the adage "those who live by the sword, die by the sword", it would be Hong Kong triads.
Just a couple of hours after a teenage member of the Wo Shing Wo triad was hacked outside a convenience store by five masked men, another teenager was chopped by four men in balaclavas after they rammed his car. In both instances the attackers got away before the cops arrived, so the police are now investigating whether the victims knew each other, as both incidents occurred in the northern New Territories where the Wo Shing Wo triad is known to operate.
The first man suffered wounds to his left arm while the second man came away much worse, with multiple chops to his thighs, forearms and back, along with a punctured lung. In triad parlance that's known as teaching someone a lesson, and the lesson in this case is not a sermon against joining a triad society or even being involved with one.
The lesson is: when someone in Hong Kong deliberately crashes into your car, don't get out to check the damage.
