Charlie Chan

Any time I read a letter to the editor of the local rag written by someone named Charlie Chan, I begin to wonder how many Charlie Chans there might be in Hong Kong.

Then I wonder if those Charlie Chans know about the Hollywood version played only by Caucasian actors with taped-up eyes.

And then I wonder if one would want to change his name if ever he were to view one of the old Charlie Chan films.
