The Honey Approach

Well that was a pleasant change.

A maimed beggar at the entrance to Victoria Park took a different tack to the Hong Kong-style, tried-and-true tactic of laying prostrate and bopping his head off a hand splayed on the sidewalk. Instead of choosing to appear pathetic, this guy put a huge smile on his face, nodded and made eye contact with everyone who passed by.

I almost felt like giving him a few bucks for the novelty of the approach.
