If the Hong Kong International Airport wants to regain its No. 1 spot as the world's best airport, all it needs to do is remove the arms from the chairs at all the gates, as Korea's Incheon International Airport does.
Nothing beats being able to stretch out and lay flat when connecting after a long flight aboard a Korean Airlines 747 with seats that feel like concrete. Incheon Airport also has comfy lounge chairs scattered at rest areas throughout the terminal.
Were Chek Lap Kok Airport to emulate that passenger-friendly attitude I'm certain it would become the favourite once again.
