Molave, Oh Oh

Well this is refreshing.

After a hot, humid and stagnant day, Typhoon Molave has arrived and is now tracking almost directly over our house. It's kicking the snot out of the valley; the relentless rain pelting off the windows woke me up.

Gusts are between 105-140 kilometres per hour with sustained winds at close to 100 km/h, but at 1.30am the Hong Kong Observatory hoisted Signal No. 9, which means it's going to become a wee bit breezy.

The upside is that after the typhoon passes, the air quality will be magnificent.
