Dirty White Boy
Caucasian tramp terrorises streets of Tsim Sha Tsui
Or so the headline in the local rag screamed.
A badly behaved, rage-filled Caucasian beggar is still roaming the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui after attacking a woman last month.
Locals can't identify him by name, only by sight. He is middle-aged, has shoulder-length grey hair, stands with a hunch, possesses an English accent and often takes a harmonica or an animal with him when he begs.
Then, there's his temper - which can flare when someone doesn't give him money or unintentionally invades his space, according to people who have crossed his path.
So in reality he's either mentally unstable or just a dick.
He's been begging in the area for two years, some residents say.
Two years, and the paper is just now reporting it. Great scoop, fellas!
Sheila McClelland ... fell victim to the beggar's fury ... The teacher ... saw the beggar verbally abuse a woman who was handing out fliers.
Ms McClelland called the police as he was holding on to a plastic bottle, rushing towards the woman and threatening to kill her. The woman quickly backed away, and the muttering mendicant returned to setting up his begging stand ...
Ms McClelland ... watched as the beggar fashioned a seat out of a plastic bucket and unfurled his black jacket, which contained a tethered kitten. Fearing for the safety of the animal, she started taking pictures.
When the beggar noticed her, he ran up, shouted abuse, slapped her arm, ripped away the camera and hurled it 6 metres, she said. The camera broke, but the memory stick remained intact.
"I was very frightened ... I feared that he would follow through with his threats - that he would kick my head in and kill me," she said.
When she was searching for witnesses, the man dashed off.
It shouldn't be difficult to weed that guy from all the tourists in the area, unless the man has a good hiding spot.
It's unclear if he is homeless. He was staying at a Chungking Mansions guesthouse until last year, a guesthouse employee who recognised him in a photograph said.
I bet the 'copy watch' guys won't go near him.
People say the beggar has been in the area for years. Samantha Ho ... saw him two years ago ... leaning against a bicycle and using a poodle, which had a skin condition, as a prop to get money. When people did not respond, he yelled at them, she said.
Rebecca Ng ... saw the man with a few kittens a couple of years ago ... and complained to the police and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The SPCA spokeswoman confirmed it was aware of the beggar.
If it is aware why hasn't it done something? And no, I don't mean putting the man to sleep.
Perhaps the more important question is: where have the cops been for the past two years?
