Drip, Drip, Drip

Following the success of nightly pre-news national anthem broadcasts, the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (or the Committee of Patriotic Insistence) is now set to further brainwash Hong Kongers with a series of 12-minute videos titled Accomplishments of Our Country, which are to be shown on all four Chinese-language TV channels again prior to the news.

The clips will feature a Chinese astronaut waving the flag in space, Sichuan earthquake relief efforts, Beijing Olympics athletes and more. The committee claims the videos are to promote "awareness of China's achievements as the country celebrates the 30th anniversary of reform and opening up and marks its 60th National Day next year."

But this is just a modern version of Chinese water torture; sooner or later everyone will break.
