Defiant to the End

In a case of poetic justice, well ... temporary justice anyway, an expensive wattle-necked soft-shelled turtle (purported to be of high medicinal value) bit the little toe of a Hong Kong restaurant kitchen worker who was about to send the reptile to the cooking pot.

The man went to the hospital with a possible broken toe while the turtle got a brief reprieve.

Good for the turtle. In its last moments, I hope it found a way to poison the broth.
