Well There's Your Problem
Several visits to grocery stores during the past two weeks has me convinced that Canada has entirely too much processed food.
I've been horrified to read the nutritional information on the packages, the worst of which was a tray of muffins: 480 calories with 29 grams of fat apiece. In other words, that's close to 25% of my daily caloric requirement in one snack, and I rarely consume that much fat in a whole day.
If ever I were to return to live here I'd be avoiding the packaged food aisle like the plague.
