Graduates of the OCD School of Motoring
It must be Drivers with Tics week in Hong Kong, because the last three cab rides have been a showcase of odd behaviour at the wheel.
The first guy drove with his right hand on the wheel while constantly sliding his left up and down the other side, looking ever so much like a little kid pretending to drive. Every few seconds he'd jerk the wheel to compensate for his inability to pilot the vehicle in a straight line.
The second guy nodded and bobbed his head every which way as though his melon were perched on a spring and he was grooving to music only he could hear.
The third guy had the heater on despite the 30 degrees Celsius outside temperature. I could feel the heat drifting at me from the front and had to crack my window to keep from roasting alive in the back seat. The driver kept peering intently into the rear-view mirror as though he were being followed.
Who am I going to get next, Jerry Espensen?*
