Hello Kitty Black Wonder

To the chagrin of mouthless cat fans everywhere else, Hong Kong is home to the "world's first Hello Kitty role-playing game".

... giving fans the chance to rescue their cartoon heroine and Dear Daniel from a castle where their arch-foe Kuromi has them incarcerated.

Players carry oil lamps by which they are tracked through the game, and must overcome obstacles in its five zones to rescue Hello Kitty and her companion.

Each player gets a certificate when they finish the game, Hello Kitty Black Wonder, which has taken two years and more than HK$10 million to develop.

Despite the enthusiasm (the game is scheduled to run daily for about two weeks), there are no plans to build a Hello Kitty Land theme park in Hong Kong.
