Air Con

Air conditioning; or as Hong Kongers call it: aircon.

Pros:

• Dehumidifies.

• Keeps the room a consistent, comfortable temperature.

• Makes it much easier to tolerate the searing, sticky summer season.

Cons:

• Horrendous power hog.

• Gets moldy when not in use and then stinks.

• Gives cockroaches a handy highway into the house.

The cons have it, and now the diminutive has an extra shade of meaning.
