Triad Tradition

Ah, that old triad standby: smashing up a pub.

Half a dozen men took hammers to a bar on Observatory Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, wrecking doors, busting televisions sets, crushing computers and cracking cabinets. OCTB officers are trying to determine whether the attack originated from a disagreement between customers and staff.

That's usually how it begins. Either that or the destruction crew was sent to intimidate owners into forking over protection money.

In a city where heritage is ever in danger of disappearing, it's good to see some folks upholding traditions.
