D'oh! D'oh!

Hong Kong celebrities have come up with some strange nicknames, but for my money the oddest one belongs to Carol Cheng Yu-ling (鄭裕玲), otherwise known as "DoDo".

So I asked my wife about it.

"Why did she name herself after an extinct bird?"

"What do you mean?"

"Dodo, like the dodo bird."

"Actually her name is pronounced Doo Doo.

"That's not much of an improvement."

"Why?"

"In English doo doo means bird poop."

To be fair I haven't heard anyone else say the name, so I can't be certain Mabel's version is correct, but either way DoDo has no positive connotations.

What's next: someone called "WeWe"?
