Friend Finder Facts

Since bringing friend finding to BWG a while back, I've noted some interesting statistics.

Visitors are primarily made up of three ethnicities: Caucasians at 33%, Chinese at 25%, and Filipinos at 26%, with Caucasians and Chinese making up the largest proportion of subscribers (those who opt for the Open Club or one of the VIP terms).

About 90% of subscribers describe themselves as single, which means plenty of people are looking for friends or perhaps something more, and while the largest age group is the 20-29 crowd at 53%, I was pleased to see good representation in the other age groups, notably the 30-39 category at 28%.

What is most interesting is that although free registrants come from more than 100 countries, the number one group of subscribers come from Hong Kong, followed by people in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.

It's great to see Hong Kongers making use of the service, as this was one of the main reasons I'd set it up. I'm also pleased to see that it has brought so many people from different cultures together.
