Chow Yun-fat Rocks

Here's yet another reason that Chow Yun-fat (周潤發) rocks.

View large image I'm looking forward to his portrayal of the fictitious Singaporean pirate Sao Feng, based on the infamous Chinese pirate Cheung Po Tsai (張保仔).

His main weapon is the Chinese sabre, or gwan dou [lit. military (or war) sword] (軍刀), a classic staple of Chinese warfare throughout the centuries. The sabre is used to hack, slash, block, and sometimes thrust, depending on the width of the blade.

I anticipate enjoying some magnificent Hollywood swordplay when Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is released; made even better by the coolest actor in the world.
