The Ultimate Gift

Sixty-five years ago, on December 24, 1941, British colonial officials were just one day away from surrendering Hong Kong to invading Japanese forces after 18 days of vicious combat.

And now, with Christmas on our doorstep, I reflect on those who gave their lives defending Hong Kong, never to see another Christmas. They gave Hong Kong the ultimate gift, one that gives to this every day. We should never forget that.
