Hong Kongers are so nuts about Louis Vuitton, it's difficult to go anywhere in the territory without seeing the LV logo.
So it comes as no surprise that it would show up on a Germany 2006 World Cup football: a knock-off of the official France 1998 World Cup version LV produced.
A friend from the Netherlands found it at the night market in Kowloon and was so tickled by the notion he had to buy it. He may not be Chinese, but you know how the Europeans love the beautiful game.
So do Hong Kongers, which means a ball like this was in all likelihood a massive cash cow for whichever triad society distributed it.
