Recycling Success

It took numerous weeks, but the FEHD has fulfilled my request to bring recycling containers to our village.

First it had to get permission from the village head, followed by a suitable placement on public land. That's one of the quirks of village life: everything concerning the development of the village has to be approved.

I'd also asked for a rubbish bin to be placed closer to our building (we have to walk a fair distance to reach the existing location, and when it's raining it's a pain in the ass), but the footpath isn't wide enough, and the surrounding land is private.

You can't win 'em all, but now that the recycling containers are in place, we make fewer trips to toss garbage as we're separating the paper, plastic and metal.

We're just happy to be doing our part to reduce the trash going into the landfill.
