Goodbye, Star Ferry Pier

Not long ago I said Hong Kong is a city with no memory.

As if to prove this point, the government is going ahead with plans to rip down the Star Ferry Pier in Central and replace it with yet another shopping mall.

Because Lord knows this city doesn't have enough of those.
