Canal Carcinogen Road

Hong Kong has few unhealthier places to loiter than beneath the Canal Road flyover, which separates Causeway Bay from Wan Chai.

But while passing through on the bus, I spotted a man seated opposite the queues, between the point where vehicles climb the flyover and where a constant stream of buses roll past heading either north or south.

The air is harsh enough for those waiting for buses; why he elected to just sit and breathe in untold quantities of toxic emissions is beyond me.

There are faster ways to kill yourself.
