In a culture disinclined to discuss death and all its trappings, one would think a so-called "Tour of Death" would have no takers, even when it was free of charge.
Yet a local charity group took a group of elderly folks on the first-ever Funeral Exploratory Tour, stopping at casket shops, cemeteries and mortuaries.
The coolest quote of the day came from a 91-year old man while surveying coffins:
They are so beautiful. I'm not fortunate enough to have [the grand] ones ... It's a waste of money to burn them in the end anyway. But it's fun to look [at the coffins].
Fun, huh?
With an attitude like that, he'll probably live at least another 10 years.
