McRice Burger
Following in the footsteps of Singapore and Taiwan, McDonald's Hong Kong has rolled out the McRice Burger.
Only here it's called either a Chicken Fan-tastic or Beef Fan-tastic. Instead of a bun, the toasted rice burger comes wrapped in two slabs of chewy "Jinghe akitakomati rice".
The terrible pun won't hurt sales; Taiwan has pumped out 5 million of those suckers, so they're a definite hit. The burger weighs in at 378 calories, a sizeable drop from the hefty 529 calories packed into a Big Mac.
That doesn't mean I'm going to try one; McDonald's is poison to me.
