Lamma Fisherfolk's Village

Lamma Island has a new tourist attraction.

The Lamma Fisherfolk's Village is located at Sok Kwu Wan and includes:

... fishing junks, sampans, rafts and dwellings, and equipment donated by fishermen on Lamma Island. Visitors can also get a taste of the life by trying their hand at repairing nets, fixing boats and making dried salted fish.

This hands-on display is much better than in museums, where the necessary look but don't touch policy gets in the way of the cultural experience.
