Hong Kong potheads are aghast after a raid on a 2,500-square-foot greenhouse in a Kwun Tong factory building.

Officers found 25kg of street-ready weed and 1,113 plants. The unit had been fitted with a sprinkler system, 80 lamps, a vacuum-sealer and electronic scales; it could turn out 10kg of product per month.

What a wasted revenue opportunity; with all the empty factory space in Kwun Tong, the government could legalise marijuana and turn one of the buildings into the official pot producer for the territory.

Hong Kong could be the new Amsterdam.
