The city's music industry has been warned it is killing itself by chasing quick cash and neglecting quality.

"The industry lacks variety. Investors only target the young by giving them poor-quality love songs and well-packaged young singers who can hardly sing. It is a vicious cycle. Teenagers do not want quality music. They only want artists with pretty faces and the record companies give them what they want.

Ain't that the truth.
