Countryside Living

The move is on.

In five days we're pulling up roots yet again and heading to a brand new village house. This marks a new chapter in our Hong Kong living experience.

To date we've been crammed into a tower block shoebox, endured a rat and cockroach infested Chinese old building (complete with nightmare plumbing), and enjoyed a lovely high-rise flat in a well-maintained private estate.

The village house is nestled in a lush green valley in the New Territories, famed for being a habitat for uncommon and protected species of flora and fauna. It's quiet and cozy, far from urban crowds and the perfect place to relax.

It's smaller than our current flat, but with planning (and a purge of accumulated crap) it will be comfortable.

As a bonus, our rent will be 39% less.

Moving is a giant pain in the ass, but it'll be more than worth it.
