Lan Kwai Fong Beer

Get ready for the release of Hong Kong's latest product: Lan Kwai Fong Beer.

View large image Capitalising on the fame of the name (the area is also known as LKF, and "The Fong", which is pretentious and not to be confused with the nightclub of the same name), Allan Zeman, the so-called "Father of Lan Kwai Fong", will launch the light lager in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

While many enjoy Lan Kwai Fong, I've never been a huge fan; it rubs me the wrong way.

I'm not much of a drinker, but I do appreciate the occasional snifter of cognac, glass of red wine or pint of Guinness. I'll try other beers from time to time, but I prefer dark brews.

Given that and my tendency to avoid the district, I doubt I'll go out of my way to try Lan Kwai Fong Beer anytime soon.
