A Touch of Glamour
I'm not much of a drinker, but I dropped into Aqua Spirit, one of Hong Kong's newest, trendiest bars.
Set on a 30th floor mezzanine overlooking the restaurants one floor below, the bar offers a spectacular look at the Hong Kong side from One Peking Road in Kowloon.
The minimum charge per person is HK$120 (about US$15.40), but unless you're drinking beer, two cocktails will surpass the minimum and then some.
The visit is worth it: the seating is comfortable; the lighting and music is subdued; and the panoramic view through the angled, up-swept, six-metre-high glass wall is stunning.
Aqua Spirit represents the glamorous side of Hong Kong and is so breathtaking it's easy to forget the copy-watch hucksters of Tsim Sha Tsui are waiting in the streets below.
