Just Doesn't Get It

And yet another reason I can't figure out my mother-in-law:

It's freaking hot. The Heat Index shoots up to 40C.

I'm working in my office, where the air conditioner keeps the room comfortable.

She's in the living room, watching TV with the windows wide open and trying to stay cool with a bamboo fan.

The air conditioner is off.
