Escape Velocity

Idiot of the Week:

It is uncomfortable to wear seat belts ... I'm not used to it and don't wear one even when I'm in a taxi. If there is an accident, I don't want the belt to get in my way of escaping.

This from a housewife who refuses to buckle up on the minibus, despite the law.

She'll escape the hard way: being ejected through a window, which I hear is uncomfortable. Getting tossed during an accident is easier than most people believe. It can happen in less than three seconds.

So buckle up, lady; no one wants to hose your brains off the pavement.
