What would you pay for a bottle of Glenfiddich Rare Collection 1937 single-malt whisky?

View large image A Hong Kong man dropped $380,000 (about US$48,717) at a Chek Lap Kok airport duty-free shop for one of the few remaining bottles on the planet.

Whisky is vile. I tried Glenfiddich once, but it did nothing to improve my opinion. Paying US$1,730 for a glass is lunacy, even for hard core fans.

Knowing Hong Kongers, the man bought the bottle as an investment, or to impress guests when they spy it sitting in his liquor cabinet.
