He steps into the lift.

On the way down from the 27th floor, I have time to survey this walking billboard: New Balance hat, 180 Holes golf shirt, Polo/Ralph Lauren Chaps shorts, Adidas socks, Puma track shoes, and a Porsche Design sports bag.

His watch is at an angle; I can't get a bead on it.

It doesn't matter; I know without seeing the face it's a well-known brand name.

He exits at ground level.

Hong Kong, I muse, as I stroll behind him in nondescript cargo pants and aloha shirt.
