Big Hack Attack
A triad attack on an expatriate is a rare event, but a British man has endured a meat-cleaver barrage in a case of mistaken identity.
Benjamin Ford was volunteering at the Indian Recreation Club at the end of the Rugby World Cup Sevens. After a bouncer ejected another Briton for bring intoxicated and abusive, the Chinese girlfriend of the westerner called her triad buddies to even the score.
When Mr Ford left the club, wearing the same brand of tee shirt as the bouncer, gang members in surgical masks intercepted his cab, dragged him out and then hacked at him with choppers that had been first smeared with human excrement.
Yuck.
Many cuts went to the bone, and Ford required 15 hours of surgery to treat his wounds and reattach two severed fingers.
The Briton and his girlfriend have been arrested.
