The Lucky Turtle

A foot-long pet turtle took a high dive from a flat on the 10th floor, denting the roof of a taxi on impact.

The turtle survived. Some would say the animal lived up to its reputation as a symbol of good luck and longevity, but it would have been luckier had it not strolled outdoors.

The taxi driver agreed: before his cab got dinged, a passenger had stolen his mobile phone.

He should be thankful the turtle hadn't come through the windshield.

Luck is a matter of perspective.
