Goods of Delay

Local home furnishing store G.O.D. (Goods of Desire) is selling the tackiest t-shirts yet.

I'd expect to find something like it at the Temple Street market in Yau Ma Tei, but not from a business trying to draw middle-to-upper class consumers.

Emblazoned on the front of each shirt is the phrase: Delay No More.

In English the term means nothing more than quit procrastinating.

Its Cantonese homonym, however, is a vulgar insult involving one's mother. That's as far as I'm going to translate; you can guess the rest.

G.O.D. loses points for trying to be clever, because in this instance it's just crude.

Say this phrase to any Cantonese-speaking male and you'll get punched in the head.

Don't get cute and try to test his sense of ha-ha with the English phrase; you may not like his reaction.
