Zeus Pays A Visit

A vicious thunderstorm is passing overhead.

Every few seconds, the night sky blanches under numerous inter-cloud and cloud-to-ground strikes set apart by milliseconds.

I like thunderstorms, but the last thunderclap to rip through the flat shook the windows, changed the air pressure and made me jump. Close enough to part my hair, that one.

According to the Hong Kong Observatory, I should:

1. Stay indoors.

Check.

2. Do not swim or engage in other water sports.

Check.

3. Avoid using telephone or other plugged-in electrical appliances, including computers.

Oops.

Taking a shower wouldn't be a great idea, then.
