I'm not the only one who thinks the Hong Kong Tourism Board advertisements suck.

This arrived in my inbox:

I remember you talking about the "live it love it" commercials. I live in Ontario, so they have just invaded the TV here. I can honestly say, (thanks in part to your site) that I really want to go to Hong Kong.

If, however, the point of those commercials is to entice me to go to HK, they failed. Miserably. If anything, they make me not to want to go there at all.

So thanks for having a site that makes one want to experience what looks like an interesting city. Because without it, given the ads, I wouldn't go there if forced to by gun point and various amounts of ready cash.

This city is interesting, Amanda, which is why I love living here. I've yet to explore it as much as I'd like.
