The Freezing Method

A local dancer says her secret to staying slim was a combination of exercise three times a day and a "ballet girl's old secret":

"It's really simple. Just sit in a bathtub with ice and water. The frigidness will burn up your natural fat to keep warm. At this time, you're actually shrinking. You have to sit there for 10 to 15 minutes and it will seem like a lifetime but it works."

What a depressing and defeatist attitude. True, it will come back, but only if they continue filling their faces with fried foods, stuffed-crust pizza and mooncake.

Torturing themselves in ice water will make sense to some women, but no man I know would be willing to try it.
