Pang of Regret
Want to teach children how to avoid becoming corrupt?
Leave it to the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Using cartoon characters aimed at kindergarten-aged kids, the ICAC helps kids grasp abstract concepts and positive values such as honesty, fairness, responsibility and law-abiding. It calls the effort moral education.
Gee-dor-dor (a flying rabbit) is a cute, chubby bunny who reminds everyone, including a naughty squirrel with a kind heart, the difference between right and wrong.
ICAC Deputy Chief Education Officer Jacky Pang said interactive toys increase awareness of the importance of a clean society. If that fails, it should parade Mr. Pang in front of the kids.
