Couque D'Asses
Hong Kong is awash in snack shops.
One of the most popular chains is known as Aji Ichiban, a Hong Kong-based company with a Japanese name. Unless I've been misinformed, Aji Ichiban means the best taste or number one taste. It sells both Japanese and Chinese snacks and cookies.
Competitors promote Japanese products too. These cookies are called (I'm not making this up) Couque D'asses. I don't know about you, but I'm not putting anything labelled asses in my mouth.
Manufactured by Sanritsu, the box is adorned with a crest that reads:
Taste everyone has loved since 1978
How did they quantify that?
Given the smutty sound of the name, we wouldn't want kids exclaiming how much they love it.
What's next: Biscuits De Boobies?
