Shirking Jury Duty
The Province of Alberta, Canada, has issued a notice that I'm to report to jury duty.
I won't be available.
I face arrest if I don't respond. As I'll be in Macao over the weekend, I'll miss the deadline.
Whatever. I'd like to see the Canadian government arrest me. That'd be a neat trick, but its arm isn't that long.
Aside from contacting them, I'm also supposed to sign and mail back a form to prove I'm me. But my arm isn't that long.
No reasonable person would expect me to serve jury duty given my circumstances, but then I'll be dealing with bureaucrats.
