Lest We Forget
November 11 is Remembrance Day in Canada.
It is the day we recognise the sacrifices made by those who died in defence of Canada; in defence of our freedom. We wear the poppy in remembrance that their deaths were not in vain. As long as we do this, they shall never be forgotten.
In Hong Kong, many Canadians rest, having died in defense of the territory against an overwhelming Japanese force. I've been to that cemetery. I wish to share a small piece of my visit with you in the form of this sobering image, lest we forget.
