Beach Bum Bomb
This isn't a shell one expects to find at the beach.
Typhoon Imbudo stirred up the ocean so much it tossed this unexploded shell onto Power Station Beach on Lamma Island. It had been part of a 545 kilogram WWII bomb. The bomb squad examined it and took it away for examination, which means it was stable and didn't require detonation on the spot.
What cracks me up is the crowd around the thing:
· "Men. A bomb washes up and all they can do is gawk. I'm leaving."
· "Hey look, something's written on the side. Let me see if I can make it out: M-A-D-E-I-N-T-H-E-U-S-A ..."
· "Dude, I'm telling you, I'm standing right in front of it. What do you mean, give it a kick?"
