Shing Mun Redoubt
I headed up to the Shing Mun Reservoir to photograph the redoubt that had been undermanned before the Japanese invasion of Hong Kong on December 8, 1941.
I got some great images, including one of a trio of uninvited companions who slowed me down because they kept stopping to eat oranges.
This little bugger charged at me after finishing his orange that he'd fished out of the garbage bin. It was a bluff. He stopped after a couple of feet. He realised he was out of his depth; his two mates wanted nothing to do with me.
I can see how a pack of them could be a problem; each was as large as a good-sized dog and didn't seem to be afraid.
This is why there are signs warning park visitors not to feed feral monkeys.
