Way Out

Exit signs in Hong Kong make me smile.

Most of the time, they don't read EXIT as in North America. Instead they have Chinese characters, with the English underneath. The English used is a direct translation: Way Out.

It reminds me of The Flintstones: the episode where they mistake an English rock band for aliens. The name of the band was The Way Outs.

And a-one and a-two!

There's a place where I can go
And that's where I wanna be
I'm sayin' good-bye to you, good people,
For I've found a place for me!
(Yeah yeah yeaaaaaaah ...)

Gonna go way out... WAY OUT!
That's where the fun is, way out ... WAY OUT!
That's where the sun is, way out ...
WAY OUT!

Where I wanna be,
For there's a place for me-e-EEE!

Way out.
